Finished: Yellow Terry Renfrew

March 31, 2012

pattern: Sewaholic’s Renfrew - view A neckline, view C sleeves

mods: none! It’s a straight size 8. If I make one in a thinner fabric, I’ll go down a size in the waist and hips and scoop out the neckline by a few inches.

fabric: super bright yellow french terry knit from Gorgeous Fabrics

Ah, the Renfrew. Am I the last person on earth to make this? Yes? Well, I love the pattern. I didn’t think I needed another basic knit tee pattern in my stash, but this one seems to be versatile and it fits well.

The fabric is super soft and just what I want to wear in the cool spring evenings. The color makes it kind of hard to style, but I think it will be cute with black or white shorts in the summer.

I recently found your blog and I’ve been enjoying your posts and photos.

What a great choice of fabric. It looks sturdy, retaining its shape nicely. The color is great as well.

I still haven’t touched my Renfrew pattern but I will have to soon. I’m loving all the ones I’ve seen so far.

Hey thanks! I’m so glad you stopped by.

I was skeptical about needing another basic knit top pattern, but it really is cute and the bands make it unique. I’d like to make another one in a lighter weight fabric.

I love it! So sunny and bright, perfect with those crisp white jeans and the blue background. God, I love Utah. I’ve yet to make mine, so maybe you’re next to last ;) Also, loving the new space, and looking forward to recipes :)

Hey Stephanie! I’m so glad I found you again!!

This top is so great and bright. The renfrew does seem like a good basic top – I was a bit concerned about making this pattern because of the sizing – but maybe I’ll give it a go!

Hi Sallie – thanks for following me over here!

Yeah, I think the sizing is a little weird and I’ll definitely make adjustments on the next one.

I love your new space! And your tee! These pictures are stunning. At first, I thought you might be in Alaska…but I see now maybe Utah?
